Present Weather & Visibility Sensor

The PWS100 is unique - with four laser horizontal lights sheets and two receivers it can accuarately monitor and analyse falling precipitation like no other sensor on the market. Physically measuring a particle's speed as it it passes through the four sheets in turn as well as measuring the size of the droplet this present weather sensor can detect individual hydrometeors as small as 0.1mm. Analysis of the crystalinity of the particle provides classification into a number of different precipitation types such as snow, drizzle, rain and so on.

Visibility readings of up to 10Km are also provided.
